Dr. Basil Al Sharef is a German and Swiss Board-Certified Leading Senior Consultant Spine and Scoliosis Surgeon with more than 20 years of international experience in Germany, Switzerland, and Dubai. He graduated in 2005 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kiel, Germany.

Dr. Basil worked at some of the most prestigious spine surgery and scoliosis centers in Germany and Switzerland as a Consultant and Senior Consultant Spine Surgeon until 2019. In December 2019, he began his career in the UAE as a Consultant Spine Surgeon and has since held leadership roles, including Head of the Spine Surgery Department at renowned hospitals

Dr. Basil treats all spinal pathologies in adults and pediatrics across all spinal sections. He specializes in surgeries for patients with Spinal Instabilities (e.g., slipping vertebrae, fractures), Spinal Deformities (e.g., scoliosis, hyper kyphosis, spondylolisthesis), and Compressive Pathologies of the Spinal Cord and Nerves (e.g., tumors, narrowed spinal canal, disc herniation).
