Dr. Andreas Appelt is a German Board-Certified and Trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Trauma Surgeon, and Sports Medicine Specialist with over 30 years of expertise in Conservative and Operative Treatments for Orthopaedic conditions.
Dr. Appelt's proficiency encompasses a broad spectrum of spinal and joint cases, where he utilizes minimally invasive procedures to ensure optimal outcomes. His surgical expertise includes performing arthroscopic operations on knees and shoulders and knee and hip replacements, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to patient care.
Dr. Appelt studied medicine at prestigious institutions such as the Universities of Cologne, Bonn, Mainz, and Heidelberg. In November 1986, he earned his doctorate in the medical field of surgery from the University of Heidelberg/Mannheim. Dr. Appelt further sharpened his skills through specialized training in surgery at Theresien Hospital Mannheim (Oellers) and Bruchsal Hospital (Thiele) from 1987 to 1992. Subsequently, he pursued advanced training in surgery and trauma surgery at the Municipal Hospital in Friedrichshafen (Seitz). He underwent specialized training in sports medicine, chiropractic, and orthopaedics, enhancing his holistic approach to patient care. He contributed significantly as a teacher and consultant orthopaedic surgeon during his five-year tenure at the University Clinic in Heidelberg. He has practiced in various countries, including Germany, Ghana, West Africa, and the United Arab Emirates, enriching his understanding of diverse medical practices and patient needs.
