The objective of the Nutrition & Lifestyle Department at Adam Vital Hospital is to establish and encourage good nutritional practice and high dietetics standards as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care provided to our patients.
Our work includes:
Food Service: Our dietary kitchen third provider who is responsible for feeding all the patients in the hospital healthy and therapeutic varied meals with the best hygienic standards. It also caters for the employees’ canteen and the cafeteria.
Inpatient Care: Our specialized clinical dietitian delivers nutrition care that involves therapeutic diets and specialized nutrition support to all patients along with nutrition counselling & proper nutrition education. She also collaborates in developing specific evidence-based clinical protocols.
Outpatient Care: Our clinical dietitian is available for individualized assessment and counselling for senior patients and palliative care, obesity, pediatric nutrition, sports nutrition, weight management, diabetes, renal, malnutrition, nutrition support, pregnancy and breastfeeding nutrition and many more.
Nutrition Education: Our nutrition & lifestyle department has a substantial commitment to educating its staff by organizing monthly round table discussions, in addition to its commitment towards other health professionals by participating in multidisciplinary educational sessions and congresses.
Community Awareness: Our clinical dietitian participates in the health fairs and other community activities organized by the hospital by designing diverse nutrition-related campaigns.
